In the 1990s, Panthip Plaza was "the" place to go if you needed anything computer related, and in many ways it still is. While there are now several IT Malls around town, Panthip is probably still the best place to go for the serious hobbyist in search of esoteric parts or the latest thing. Unfortunately, you have to sift through a lot of chaff to find the good stuff, so be prepared for a lot of touting and junk if you visit Panthip.

Panthip Plaza has a less than savory reputation for pirated software and fake goods, which it well deserves. If buying parts, know what they should cost, and what authentic components look like. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Panthip Plaza is open every day from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, although some stores may open late or close early. The mall is located on Petchburi Road in Bangkok's garment district. See the garment district map for more information about the location.
A more convenient alternative is the Fortune Town IT Mall, which is right on the subway line.
