Wat Sao Thong Tong
Near Constantine Phaulkon's former residence is what is today a small Buddhist temple called Wat Sao Thong Tong. It started life as either a Christian church, or by some accounts a mosque, which explains the Gothic windows and other western elements. The buildings were originally erected in King Narai's time (1656 - 1688) to server western diplomats that were beginning to make contact with Siam during the king's reign.
It was only later that the church was converted to a Buddhist temple. The buildings have been nicely restored, although it continues to serve as a Buddhist temple.
