Activities & Sports

You'll find all the major water sports on offer from many outlets along both Pattaya and Jomtien beaches. There's scuba diving, wind surfing, jet and water skiing readily available. Note that jet skis are confined to designated areas. You can also charter deep sea fishing from one of several places near the pier. Away from the water, you'll find many other sports to occupy your time. Expatriate Living in Pattaya

Pattaya has become rather popular as a retirement destination for many westerners. So much so that there is an extensive support network of other expatriates to rely on for help and advice. The information below was provided by the Pattaya Expats Club, which is a good place to start should you be considering retiring in Thailand. Pattaya Expats Club The Pattaya Expats Club, was the first of its kind in Thailand, founded in 2001 by an ex-pat named Pete Mills, who is also our current President.

Gay / Lesbian Attractions

The Pattaya gay scene runs the gamut from the rather sleazy go-go bars of Boyz Town near central Pattaya to the country's only really gay beach. The gay scene itself is still heavily commercialized. Although there are go-go clubs and "host" bars dotted all over town, most gay venues are located in one of three centers. The oldest and easiest to find is Boyz Town, located around Pattayaland Soi 3 just off Pattaya 2 Road.
