Wat Chedi Klang Thung

Wat Chedi Klang Thung
The main pagoda at Wat Chedi Klang Thung

The only remaining structure at Wat Chedi Klang Thung is a pagoda showing the classic fine lines of the Sukhothai style. It was probably built in the later half of the fourteenth century, when Sukhothai was still the dominant power. You can just make out the base of the chapel on the eastern side of the pagoda, and the whole thing was once surrounded by a moat, which has gone a bit swampy in places, at least in the wet season when I was there. A small housing development now sits up against the south side of the old temple, but you can still enjoy a visit here.
