The Park hotel in Nang Rong, Buriram province.
The Park Nang Rong is probably one of the best accommodation options in Nang Rong. Of course, that's not saying a lot, since there is very little to choose from, but The Park is quite a comfortable place to stay for a few nights while you take in the sights.
The relatively new hotel, opened in 2010, is located near the lake at the center of town. It's a very short walk from the bus station, although the road it's on was not paved when I visited. I had the 'pavilion room', which was a small A-frame room on its own. It would be too small for a couple, but it was comfortable for just me. The deluxe rooms are actually a bit larger.
The hotel does not have a proper restaurant, but it does have a small kitchen that can make a select menu of items and there are a number of restaurants nearby. The hotel can also arrange transportation for you to the nearby sights such as Phnom Rung and Muang Tam.
Hotel facilities include one restaurant, a mini-mart and spa.
Rooms feature air conditioning, refrigerator and flat-screen television (local channels).
Pluses: Quiet location, very friendly staff, free wi-fi Internet.
Minuses: No restaurant, few other facilities.
