My room at the Tohsang City hotel in Ubon Ratchathani.
The Tohsang Hotel in Ubon is a nice solid option for accommodations in the city. It isn't the most central location, it's a healthy walk to the Thung Si Muang park in the center of town, but for the comfort it's probably a small price to pay. The hotel is larger than it appears from the street. From the somewhat dowdy lobby, it rambles back through several buildings linked by elevated covered walkways. The open air blocks of buildings give it a rather collegiate feel.
Although blandly generic, the room was large with all the modern conveniences. There is free wi-fi through most of the hotel, but it doesn't reach well into many of the rooms, including mine. The bathroom was functional without being the least bit fancy.
Breakfast in the lobby coffee shop was basic but good enough.

Rooms feature air conditioning, hot and cold water and free wireless Internet access.
Pluses: Good value for money.
Minuses: Wi-fi doesn't reach all rooms.
