Locally owned and operated provincial Thai hotels can be a bit hit-or-miss. They almost always look good on the web site, of course, but sometimes you arrive to find something considerably less pleasing. So I knew I was taking a chance on booking this hotel, but it was the same chance I would be taking with all the other options in Kampaeng Phet. I was pleasantly surprised at this small hotel, with its quirky rooms and pleasant staff.
The room was quite large, with big windows looking out to the pool. While this was nice in a way, it also meant anyone walking by could see in. The room had a regular size refrigerator, a microwave and a toaster. The bathroom was good sized, with a jacuzzi tub. However, the only mount for the hand-held shower head was about hip height, so taking a shower was a bit awkward. The room had a large flat-screen television on the wall and free wi-fi.
The hotel does not have a restaurant, but does serve an American breakfast in your room, at whatever time you ask. It was a quite typical Thai American breakfast.
Hotel facilities include a swimming pool, spa and mountain bike or motorcycle rental.
Rooms feature air conditioning, hot and cold water, flat-screen television (several channels), telephones, mini-bar, microwave, toaster and hair dryer.
Pluses: Small hotel with friendly staff; close to several riverside restaurants.
Minuses: Rooms lack privacy; hard beds.
